Protecting rims from the kerb
With AlloyGator rim flange protection, you can protect your rims from the kerb. Everyone hits the kerb while parking, sometimes resulting in ugly damage to your (alloy) rims.
AlloyGators are high-quality and universal rim guards that absorb the impact of a kerbstone. This prevents unsightly damage and expensive repairs. Knowing that your rims are well protected, drives a lot nicer anyway.
Protect your alloy wheels from damage caused by parking damage from kerbs and other accidents with AlloyGator rim guards.
They are made of a super-strong nylon and they sit firmly between rim and tyre, unlike other products that simply snap or stick onto the rim. As a result, AlloyGator offers robust and unrivalled protection for your rims.

Drive more safely and securely
We've all experienced it: a mean kerb that we overlooked. Whether you were trying to park, driving a little too fast down a driveway or driving around an unfamiliar place; a kerb-crash can happen at any time. This often results in annoying (and sometimes expensive) damage. AlloyGators take away part of the fear of an accident: with these rim flange protectors, you can rest assured that your alloy wheels are at least well protected. After all, that's a lot nicer driving!

Are my wheels suitable?
AlloyGator wheel guards can be fitted to rims with a wheel diameter between 12 and 24 inches. Although suitable for 98% of all wheel and tyre combinations, before installing AlloyGators, we recommend that customers check the suitability of their combination on all wheels of their vehicle using the measuring strip included in the box. Watch this short YouTube video on how to use the measuring strip.
AlloyGators wheel guards are not recommended for diamond ground or machine polished alloy wheels. Although the application of the AlloyGator provides good protection against damage, due to damage in the painted wheel surface, moisture corrosion may occur underneath the AlloyGator. AlloyGator Netherlands accepts no liability if the product is mounted on this type of wheel and such damage occurs.
AlloyGators should not be mounted on cars weighing more than 2500kg.
AlloyGator accepts no liability or any damage caused by an AlloyGator mounted on a vehicle weighing more than 2500kg including load.

Frequently asked questions about tyres and suitability
- Can AlloyGators be used on runflat tyres?
Yes, AlloyGators can be used on runflat tyres.
- Can AlloyGators be reused when I get new tyres?
AlloyGators can generally be re-fitted on the same wheels when you get new tyres as long as they are not too badly damaged. We do not recommend re-fitting damaged profiles.
- Can AlloyGators be fitted to machine polished or diamond ground wheels?
The application of AlloyGators gives excellent protection against kerb damage on these wheels as well. The coating on these types of wheels is significantly softer than on most powder-coated wheels. Despite this, we have many customers with machine-polished or diamond-ground wheels who use AlloyGators for wheel protection.
- Is there a maximum vehicle weight when fitting AlloyGators?
We do not recommend fitting AlloyGators to cars weighing more than 2,500 kg. This also applies to cars weighing less than 2500 kg, but which exceed 2500 kg with the weight of passengers or heavy luggage. AlloyGator Netherlands accepts no liability if the AlloyGators are nevertheless fitted to vehicles weighing more than 2500 kg.
- Are some wheel and tyre combinations more suitable than others?
AlloyGator wheel protection fits wheels from 12" - 24" inches. Are you unsure whether your wheel or tyre is suitable for AlloyGators? If so, feel free to contact us. We will be happy to help you!
Frequently asked questions about AlloyGators products and fitting
- What material are AlloyGators made of?
AlloyGators are made of a super strong nylon that is flexible and will not damage your alloy wheels during mounting, but is strong enough to provide superior protection.
- Are the colours of AlloyGators permanent?
All AlloyGators are coloured through and through which means there is no colour change even after a collision with a kerb. We recommend cleaning your rims and AlloyGators regularly with normal car shampoo or universal rim cleaners suitable for sensitive surfaces, such as chrome. Avoid aggressive acid-based tyre polishes used by some car washes.
- How do I fit my AlloyGators?
The AlloyGator is attached around the wheel using our patented technology. You can fit the AlloyGators yourself or have them fitted by one of our authorised AlloyGator installers. View our fitting instructions for a step-by-step guide.
- How do I remove my AlloyGators?
To remove an AlloyGator, jack up your car, fully deflate the tyre, remove the plastic clip and gently pry up the tread at this location. Tap the surface of the AlloyGator firmly with a rubber mallet on the side with the hole in it. This will release the adhesive and open the joint. Once the joint is opened, use pliers to gently pry or pull the AlloyGator out, starting with the end without the hole. You pull it out over the tyre, minimising the metal clips' contact with the rim itself.
- Are AlloyGators speed-tested?
Yes, our AlloyGators are tested under normal driving conditions and within the legal speed limit.
- Are AlloyGators recyclable?
Yes, AlloyGators are recyclable and we recommend putting the AlloyGator overbricks in the recycling bin.
- Do AlloyGators affect my insurance?
Our AlloyGators are not considered a performance enhancing product and fitting them to your car should not affect your vehicle insurance premium. We recommend talking to your insurance company to discuss your own individual requirements.
